Pivionica Brewery - FULIR (British Stout)

I really like the look of Fulir's bottle. The sketch of Zagreb city wrapped around the bottle is amazing! The combination of colors around the brown bottle really gives an "oldschool" feel to it.

Fulir pours a strong black color with a medium seized beige head. The ABV (alcohol level) stands at 6,0% which is the average amount for a stout. It has a sweet aroma of caramel, roasted malts and dried fruits. The taste also hints notes of dark chocolate and coffee. It starts off a little bitter followed by a lactic sweetnes.

This is one of the harsher Croatian stouts that I've tried. To suit my preference, I would like it to be a bit less sweet. Overall, it's a solid beer but with an explosive taste which I feel would more suit the experienced drinkers out there!
